I don't think a creative endeavor should be connected to income. It's nice when I make some money but my brief stint as a freelancer made me realize I'd rather work at a gas station or at a Chipotle than sit at home writing articles.

It's a shame that we all need to make a living and try to make money in order to eat, because it's that kind of pressure that kills creativity and innovation.
